Random rant on Hagio Moto's stuff...
Hehe I'm so happy that scanlation of Poe no Ichizoku is finally released...overall Obsession did a nice job with it. Though there sure are quite a few broken words in the dialogue...probably because English words just don't fit those roundish bubbles.

Ahh Poe is definitely my favourite manga of all time. It's just so beautiful. The funny thing is I didn't catch the shounen-ai-ness until the second or third reading. It felt so shoujo-ish with all the pretty art and flowers and flowing hair and pretty eyes. And Marybell with her pretty shoujo eyes and long curly hair is always around in the story. Her presence is sometime stronger than Allan's. Poor Allan... ;__; Oh the angst...

Just finished reading more of Hagio Moto's work: The Road to Rome, Blue Bird, and Barbara Ikai. Lovely lovely work. I cried reading the end of Barbara Ikai...but it's not really a tragic ending, I think... I don't know...Hagio Moto's stuff has so many layers to explore and feel.. I honestly can't say that I understand everything. But I enjoy her work nevertheless. It's strange...I kinda lost interest in the mangas I used to like ever since I got into Hagio Moto's mangas...I guess I got more picky. Haha don't know if that's a good thing... Did I mention she does the best page layouts in the whole wide world? XD
